I mean, you know, America is not unique in its sins. As a country, we're not unique in our evils, to be honest with you. I think where we where we may be singular is our refusal to acknowledge them. And the legends and myths we tell about our inherent, you know, goodness to hide and cover and conceal so that we can maintain the kind of willful ignorance that protects our innocence. See, the thing is that when the Tea Party was happening, we use people where we were saying pundits, oh, it's just about economic populism. It's not about race. When people, new people, new social scientists were already writing, that what was driving the Tea Party were anxieties about demographic shifts, that the country was changing, but they were seeing these racially ambiguous babies on Cheerios commercials, that the country wasn't quite feeling like it was a white nation anymore. And people were screaming from the top of their lungs. You know, this is not just simply economic populism. This is the ugly underbelly of the country. See, the thing is, is this, and I'll say this, and I'll take the hit on it. There are communities that have had to bear the brunt of America confronting white Americans confronting the danger of their innocence. And it happens every generation. So somehow, we have to kind of, Oh, my God, is this who we are. And just again, another, here's another generation of babies. Think about it that two year old, had his broken bones broken by two parents trying to shield him from being killed. A woman who has been married to this man for as long as I've been on the planet, almost lost time lost her husband. So what? So what we know is that the country has been playing politics for a long time, on this hatred. We know this. So it's easy for us to place it all on Donald Trump's shoulders. It's easy for us to place Pittsburgh on his shoulders, it's easy for me to place Charlottesville on his shoulders, it's easy for us to place El Paso on his shoulders. This is us. And if we're going to get past this, we can't blame it on him. He's a manifestation of the ugliness that's in us. I've had the privilege of growing up in a tradition that didn't believe in the myths and the legends because we had to bear the brunt of them. Either we're going to change Nicole, or we're going to do this again and again, and babies are going to have to grow up without mothers and fathers have goals and us friends. But I feels like now hopefully, there is a clear path for Biden to win we can lose Pennsylvania and do it or we can win Pennsylvania and have a more locked up results. You know, like, no one's half and probably voted for him and they don't want to talk about it. They don't want to bring it up. And we're in a state that went for Trump. So really fucking embarrassing. It's, uh, yeah, something's up. Something's up. It's evil. And then Have you seen the video the guy with the beer is covering up covering up for the world covering up with someone yeah so this guy and like a brainwashed biker and on shirts had like barbecue beef, something and beer I'm like, okay, like I think it's total like rural person who legit just had a freakout in front of the media. So basically last night at like, one o'clock in the morning, Trump decided to come on and say he won the race, even though he was losing the electoral college. And he and none of the popular vote in the popular vote, and none of the other states have included sanity. So it's like, okay, so I woke up to that thinking, Oh, it's over. Like, I can't believe that it happened again. And then as they heard, sorry, going on, I'm like, Wait a second, this bitch decided that he just wanted to talk about winning when he wasn't even close to winning. And the votes hadn't even been counted. Right? Fast forward. And that's when it starts taking these these states. And he's like, now he's crying about how he's like, oh, my god, they're just finding votes, honey, that's called reading. And that's called counting. Okay. That's called a vote box. They're not coming up with votes, like the votes were sent in the votes were received the votes right there. This is a lie. I, you know, it's really funny. I was winning. And now I'm losing. I'm like, Oh, well, that's because that's what it's called to be an election. I mean, he literally is president because of about 80,000 people from 2016. Like he won, barely Pennsylvania. Barely won with airly. Right. Just like, like flipped. You. Yeah, like, okay, so you might lose, but like you, it's still you count the votes. We knew he was gonna be eloquent. Like, let's get on us. But no, we didn't think it would come out and be like, Alright, well, I guess it looks. To wrap it up. I'm like, okay, so we wrap it up. Now, you're actually losing and we act so. So are we done now? Michigan are like, wrap it up. stop counting votes. Well, Biden had the lead then. So yeah, stop counting votes, that's fine. Because these people are dumb. I feel really sorry for his base. Because I feel like they've been duped and like, cuz he sold it as like, well, this election will be stolen, and they're gonna cheat and all this stuff. And then it's like, so you kind of know where like, you kind of knew you were gonna lose closer, like, it's closer than I would like it to be. I'm very uncomfortable. I am still currently very uncomfortable. Like, I don't care who wins the presidency. It's not good right now. No, it's not good. And it's just like a problem of how is it this close? Like, I think, you know, how is it this close? How did this many white people vote for a racist? Like, how is it this close? I mean, it's really scary. When you look at demographics to you're like, Oh, my God, like white men, white people vote for white men and white women, gays, that's one Hop on. It just is unbelievable to me that we're in the situation. And we're, but here we are, um, the electoral college? Like, do you know how to explain that eloquently? I don't know. It's just, it's a system that most people would say, well, gives a little too much power to these small states with no people in them. And the problem with it, it's, I mean, every state I think, is guaranteed three electoral college votes, no matter how small the population, okay, and so you have people in Wyoming, Wyoming who have way more voting power than people in Texas, or people in California, so it's not even a democrat republican thing. It's, if you live in a state with a very small population, your vote counts more for the presidency, right? Because if we went by popular vote, and or if you had a certain amount of like, say, California had 5 million people, or whatever it is, and say it was proportional, right? Like, there'll be no, that's the thing. This is what's so fuckin about this country. I get it, like democracy of the time, like I get, how they wanted to plan it and all that. But like, now, today, with so many different, I mean, it needs to be the popular vote period. Sorry. It needs to be a popular vote and like, and it's going both ways, like so. Well, it doesn't really go both ways. We saw that last election. 2016. Yeah, it seems like republicans win by losing the popular vote. They always win. Yeah, they lose. The only time they make is when it's the electoral college like, yeah, le. And they don't want to get rid of this system, even though they know it's unfair. It's so dumb. It is like we win. So like if Biden wins this election, I will still fully be in favor of getting rid of the electoral college because it's not what should decide to presidency. It's insane. It's making people who actually like, do shit for our country. No offense to those smaller towns, but like, I'm sorry, I feel like people in California are pulling more weight than people in Wyoming. I know Wyoming Probably farming California. No, California's population is massive calories aeronomy if you want to go by economy, economy is bigger than most countries in the world. Country. And when I was like texting for the Biden campaign, this is what leads to all this apathy. If you want more people to participate, then you have to make them think their vote matters. I talked to so many people in states that are called Safe states where presidential candidates never visit. And they never get spoken to. No one's ever like, Hey, you out there in New Jersey or Wow, look at you in California. No one. I mean, I didn't hit those spots. Save states, they come to Ohio, Pennsylvania, which Ohio? Republican, let's get on it. Ohio is lost around in Ohio. This is two elections now that the republicans have beat the show. Just but I think we Yeah, but you're but this is why like, this is why people don't want to vote is because when they're in a state, it's not proportional. So like, there's democrats in Texas going, why would I vote? And then there's republicans in California, like, it doesn't matter if I vote, like because they even if they lose by 10 votes, like all the electoral college votes go to the other party. And I go, what's the point flip though, too, because like, we're looking at George right now. And every vote is counting there. So like, even if you hold it in a smaller County, and they dominated you, as long as you got your vote out there, like that's towards Biden's behalf, even though it's like, and that's the point is that your vote it does actually does actually, when you look at like, Okay, how did Trump become President when he lost by 3 million votes in the popular vote? It's like, Yeah, because the Electoral College. That's it right? It's so present. That's how we've had four years of disaster. Everyone's my enemy if they don't vote like me. And it's like, why don't we just focus on what we're trying to do? And every four years we have our vote but like it there does come a point and I see the same I see this like, we cannot ignore basic human rights. So like we are you know, there's there's little disagreements about like economic policy. But then there's, yeah, there's a line where it's like no, now this is affecting someone's entire life and can ruin them, ruin them. Like, absolutely ruin them. So like we can't, there's not disagreements about whether or not someone should exist. Right? That's not and I would 100% agree with you on that. Just everything. Did you drink too much last night? I mean, but I think a sleep study is a good idea. It is. I feel like I'm always I think I have sleep apnea. And I also honestly, I'd have um, what isn't a thing called where you fall narcolepsy? You don't I'm honey I'm I'm a little concerned because I do go right into REM sometimes and go right into like dreams. I do. And the other day I woke up I was like, oh my Michael said I was having night terrors too. Yeah, I have those like I woke up I was like shaking he was holding me I was gone I remember being dramatic being like oh I'm freezing or something but I need my coffee Oh, I was so kind of say last night I was smoking weed and drinking a whole bottle. I just like that was me last night and then it was like 1030 I was like I'm Oh my god. Like I can't even keep my fucking eyes open. Yeah, Honey, you're unstable just like your internet connection. I need to get I need to run a wire up to this room from the basement. Yeah, cuz like you started when you are going Oh my God. Oh, God. Let me just tell you I won't I don't want to burst your like an optimism sleep study bubble. But when I was having sleep paralysis and night terrors, I had a sleep study and like nothing came of it. They were like I just be fucked. They're like, well, that's terrible. I was like, okay, so where are we? More water? really any medication? Stay hydrated. Stay hydrated. Like this. It was you're gonna have to do drugs to be honest with you ever since are doing marijuana more often I sleep so well. I sleep so well. Yeah. It's such a nice heard that from other users. Want to see less homeless people in more Mental Health Access? I want the police to have proper training. I do believe in law and order. But I also believe in freedom of speech and the right to protest. I want racial equality in this country, everyone to have opportunity for the American dream. I want black lives matter. I want to feel like I live in fucking shits Creek. I don't want to hate the suburban mom for shoving Trump down everyone's throat on Facebook. I don't want to hate the Redneck who just wants to be heard? I don't want to cringe every time the President starts to talk. I don't want to get angry when God is brought up as a political tool. I don't want to feel like punching someone in the throat when they say all lives matter. I don't want to see the conservative parents who are pro life kick out there. LGBTQIA plus child on the streets totally contradicting their pro life stance. I want us to be united. I think what we have seen out of this election is no matter who wins we have a divided country and we are fully fucked up. We must be better and we must find our way to a more perfect union.
